Joshua Allen Strausburg, 29, departed this earth unexpectedly on June 26, 2016. A very loving, caring and giving man, he always told his family he loved them before concluding a conversation and would often text them with the same message. He was employed as an automobile mechanic, and racing his Lincoln LSC race car was his passion. Josh was the driver for Strausburg Racing, a racing team founded by him and his father. He was preceded in death by his brother James Robert Strausburg II (Robbie); paternal grandparents James Robert and Patsy Jean Strausburg; maternal grandparents Vernon (Wilma) Swigart, John Louis LaPois Jr. and Aaron D. Miniard. Josh is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Sarah; children Carleigh (8), Rileigh (3), Nathan (2); brother Shawn A. Strausburg; father James S. Strausburg “Scott”; mother and step-father Mikki and Dennis Miniard; grandmothers Debbie K. LaPois-Sowder and Marilyn K. Miniard “Kay”; paternal aunt Jeannie J. Strausburg; maternal aunts Jennifer (Gordon) Williams and Barbie (Jason) Riley; uncle John P. (Julie) LaPois along with a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and many friends, including the racers at KilKare Raceway. A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Sunday, July 3, 2016 from 2pm-4pm with a funeral service to follow at 4pm. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the family to help with Josh’s funeral services to Sarah Strausburg at 469 Weinland Drive New Carlisle, Ohio 45344.
