Kyle was born in Lee County, VA on April 27, 1935. Kyle is preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Helen Holman; his wife, Loretta (Laningham) Holman; his son, James Holman; 6 brothers & 4 sisters.
Kyle served his country in the United States Army, where he was a radio operator in Korea. He worked at McCalls (Dayton Press) for many years, and he retired as a bus driver from RTA. He was an avid golfer, who scored 2 holes in one. He also enjoyed playing baseball and basketball, and his favorite teams were the Cincinnati Reds & the Kentucky Wildcats.
Kyle is survived by 1 son, Greg Holman & his wife, Debby of Westerville OH; 2 daughters, Lori (Holman) Brown & her husband, Tracy of Oakwood, and Kyla (Holman) Cartwright of Miamisburg; 1 brother, Maverick Holman & his wife, Jan of Miamisburg; 1 sister, Judi Jane (Holman) Cox, and her husband, Jerry of Huntsville, AL; 9 grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Christopher, Bryan, Andrew, Hannah, Rachelle, Stephen & Olivia; and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday May 27, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering. Visitation will be from Noon-1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Interment in Miami Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kyle's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
