She was a proud Army Veteran, and was previously employed at the University of Dayton and various government agencies including the ATF and the FBI. In January 2001, Ret retired from WPAFB after 30 years of service. A huge sports fan, she loved her UK Wildcats. Ret was very intelligent, and had a GREAT love for her family. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. She was Awesome!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Gracie (Gwinn) Combs, brothers, Billy Combs, Bobby Combs, step-brothers, Virgil Gene Combs, Arlie Combs, and step-sisters, Betty Combs, Marie Jewel, and Eliza Jones.
Ret is survived by her husband, Larry Bailey; sisters, Connie (Alvin) Miller, Janice Neace; sisters-in-law, Betty Bailey, Erlene Combs; brother-in-law, Eugene (Helen) Bailey, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation 10:30 am to 12noon Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Rd. with a graveside service, including Army honors, to follow at 1:00pm at Dayton National Cemetery.
If desired, donations may be made Hospice of Dayton, the American Heart Assoc., or to the American Lung Assoc. in Ret’s memory.
