Master Sergeant Michael R. Parsons, USAF, Retired (Vietnam veteran), age 66 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton after a long battle with cancer.

He was born February 13, 1950 in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth Parsons. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother and several nephews.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sandra Parsons; two fine sons, Christopher (Gwen) Parsons and Richard Parsons; two outstanding grandchildren, Andrew and Madison, as well as numerous family members and friends.

Michael was a talented weldor, loved anything electronic, and was an avid Chevy enthusiast. One of his favorite sayings was “you can never have too many cars or trucks.”

Family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio, with a Masonic service following. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Hospice of Dayton.
