Coomes, Evelyn “Christine” of Harrison Township, OH, age 73, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2016. She was born on January 24, 1943 in Hardinsburg, KY to the late Owen and Evelyn Slaughter.

Christine is survived by her beloved children: Linda Carpenter, Johnny and Corky Coomes; grandchildren, Erica Burdette, Rachael Carpenter, and Allison Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Tristian Marlow, Aubree Baker, and Addilyn Mehall; sisters, Van Lucas, and Ann Blythe; brother, Donnie Slaughter.

She faithfully attended the Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Ave. Dayton, OH 45414, where services will be held on Thursday April 28, 2016 at 2:00 pm.
